We work with beekeepers in Tanzania to produce and sell honey, beeswax and honeycomb.
Bonaventure Mhonda founded QVC Africa Group LTD. We buy honeycomb from Tanzanian beekeepers and process honey and beeswax in our own factory. We also buy beeswax from other Tanzanian suppliers.
We work with over 2,500 beekeepers and 100 beekeeping associations in Tanzania. Together, our network manages more than 30,000 hives.
Our beekeepers keep hives in Nyahua Reserve Forest, Tanzania, away from busy areas. The bees find their own food in the forest. We do not give them extra feed or medication.
The forest provides food for the bees and supports the beekeepers who earn income from honey and beeswax.
